How ?
First, SEE the situation as it is and ACCEPT it before trying, if necessary, to ACT to respond to it. This is the key to identifying the RIGHT ACTION appropriate for this situation.
The appearance of an emotion or tension shows that we do not see this situation as it is or that we refuse it. ACCEPT then the emotion to facilitate the RIGHT ACTION
Call on MEDIT-ACTION BE THE LOVE
Remember that THERE IS NO IDEAL POLICY OR PROJECT but actions adapted to a TERRITORIAL CONTEXT taking into account its economic, social and environmental dimensions
Then, ensure that the planned action has POSITIVE IMPACTS on the subject for which it is designed: the least you can do!
Also ensure that it has NO NEGATIVE IMPACTS on other subjects for which its designers have no particular expertise and are far from their field of expertise
Set NUMERICAL OBJECTIVES to be achieved in terms of impacts by a date to be determined
Define a TRAJECTORY of impacts of the actions between the time of their implementation and the final date set for their completion
Identify INDICATORS to monitor the impacts of these actions
Build a MONITORING MECHANISM that allows the trajectory to be corrected in the event of failure
Establish a PLACE OF GOVERNANCE AT THE RIGHT TERRITORIAL LEVEL, bringing together the various stakeholders involved in the action, which will constitute a place of collective intelligence enabling the latter to be improved, its impacts to be reported, its trajectories to be corrected in the event of failure, compromises to be established, and even arbitration to be made if this proves necessary.
For steps 3 and 4, it is about TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE COMPLEXITY OF THE WORLD AND THE INTERDEPENDENCIES BETWEEN ALL THE CHALLENGES TO BE MEETED. Human intelligence allows this to be done even if this exercise is not usual and can be seen as difficult.
This is why, for different major fields of activity in the world, ONLINE APPLICATIONS, free, in several languages, not requiring knowledge of the 2030 Agenda and easy to use, appear to facilitate these two steps. They allow to evaluate the positive and negative impacts of an action with regard to the 169 targets of the 2030 Agenda, integrate the systemic dimension of the 2030 Agenda and produce an evaluation in about an hour.
The first online application since March 2022 concerns the water sector: https://www.water4allSDGs.org: link to an example of the results of an assessment (document in annex)
The second is being created with UNESCO and concerns the field of education: Education4allSDGs. Others will follow: mobility, construction, household waste, etc.
This type of approach makes it possible to register its actions in a global dynamic aiming at the same objectives and using a shared language and working method. It also makes it possible to FACILITATE THE FINANCING of projects and policies by donors who are gradually integrating it into their evaluation criteria.
To support its initiatives, SDG CHAMPIONS France offers training programs aimed at many audiences based on the principles set out above.
